What are the cleanest fruits and vegetables?

Pesticide residues can cause cancer. Which fruits and vegetables are the cleanest?

In order to ensure agricultural yields and the sale of finished products, many fruits and vegetables are sprayed with large amounts of chemical pesticides during the production process. Long-term consumption will affect health. The US environmental group Environmental Working Group (EWG) recently released a latest report stating that common fruits and vegetables have pesticide residue problems, with strawberries the most common, spinach and peach plums ranking second and third respectively.

Although some residual pesticides are mild in chemical composition, many of them may cause cancer, neurological disorders, and even damage to fertility and development.

The top 10 rankings are as follows:

1. Strawberries

2. Spinach

3. Peaches and plums

4. Apple

5. Peaches

6. Pears

7. Cherry

8. Grapes

9. Celery

10. Tomato

From the ranking list, the cleanest fruits and vegetables with less pesticides are corn, followed by avocados, and pineapples, with only 1% of the samples showing pesticides.

I recommend following the following methods for washing vegetables to avoid pesticide residue:

(1) We wash the vegetables several times with running water and soak them for about an hour

(2) Boil vegetables in boiling water for one minute

(3) Remove the outer leaves or skin from the vegetable
